Worship Ministry

The Worship Ministry leads the congregation into God's presence each Sunday. The team carries the songs, the sound and the atmosphere of our services, and holds the conviction that worship is not a warm-up for the sermon but an offering in its own right.

There is room here for a range of gifts. Vocalists lead and support the congregation, instrumentalists build the sound behind them, and our technical volunteers handle sound, media and slides. That last group rarely gets noticed, which is usually the sign they are doing it well, and they are every bit as much a part of the team.

Members commit to Sunday services and to rehearsals during the week. Rehearsal is where the music is prepared, but it is also where the team prays together and gets ready in heart as well as in voice. We take the preparation seriously precisely because we are not performing.

You do not need to be a trained musician to enquire, though you should be willing to learn and to turn up consistently. If you sing, play, or have an ear for sound and media, have a word with Sis Bukola Adekogba and the team will help you find where you fit.
